They are suitable for working on alloyed and non-alloyed steels, stainless steel (INOX), non-ferrous metals and plastics (including GRP). Tungsten carbide hole cutters are used on hand drills or on stationary machines. PFERD hole cutters have an irregular tooth pitch (distance between teeth) to prevent tool chatter. The flat version (tool height 8 mm) is suitable for work on flat materials up to 4 mm in thickness.
