On hand knobs with position indicator GN 5348 the measuring gear is built into the knob i.e. Hand knob and indicator are one integrated unit. Hence they are good value for money. In addition they impress by their good design. Furthermore hand knob, pointer spindle and sight glass are manufactured as one integrated unit and ultrasonically welded. They are absolutely leak tight against spray water and corrosion proof (protection to IP67). The pendulum system is fitted with ball bearings to give a precise reading and it can be used in temperatures of up to 60° with suitable spindles. The reduction gear ratio shows the number of revolutions that are required by the long red pointer to make the small black pointer complete one resolution. Installation sequence 1. Turn the spindle to the starting point (0-position). 2. Move the unmounted hand knob to the 0-position. 3. Install the position indicator to the spindle and fix it with the screw.
