Hex nuts DIN 6330 are used on clamping applications which require frequent clamping and unclamping (m = 1,5 x d1). The spherical seating together with internal washers DIN 6319 allows excessive positional inaccuracies to be equalized. The official standard sheet still specifies the additional sizes M 6, M 42 and M 48. But M 14 is not foreseen on the official standard sheet.
