Tolerances of chamfers, different sheet metal thicknesses or the use of seals could mean that the mounting surfaces of the hinges on the frame and door do not have the desired separating distance. Spacer plates GN 2370 are designed as accessories for multiple families of hinges, and their dimensions allow them to be used as shims either individually or in combination to achieve the desired position or height compensation. The table includes a number of potential compensation heights which can be accomplished by shimming with one or two spacer plates.
